The above picture was taken at my last class at university, which helped give the whole thing quite some pomp and ceremony.
Strangely, it wasn't a particular emotional day for me. I'm quite the emotional retard, so it's quite possible that it just hasn't really sunk in yet. I think I'll probably only start bawling my eyes out on the commute from Chianti to Pisa. Be forewarned, friends.
(Incidentally, that's exactly what happened when I went to Montreal. I think talking to Justin on my way to Frankfurt kind of staved off all feelings of sadness, but once I had my 4 hours alone the floodgates really opened.)
This kind of reminds me of 2046. Faye Wong played a robot from the future who was programmed to have emotions, but there was some glitch in the programming and she could only react to things several hours after they happened. When Takuya Kimura told her he loved her, she just stared at him blankly, and he left, heartbroken. But several hours later, she starts to smile to herself.
You know it's time to sleep when you start identifying with fictional, malfunctioning robots from the future. Later.
P.S. if you're a fan of Queen or rock music in general, you'll love We Will Rock You. Really great execution.
P.P.S. if you're a Liverpool fan, I strongly advise you to lie low for a while. Don't come flash your ugly jersey at me, or worse, gloat about having won. I won't be held accountable for my actions.
