In a moment of nostalgia, I Youtube-d Boyzone, and found out that they've reunited for a tour. Wow.

Yes, yes, I know, it's Boyzone, for goodness' sake. But don't laugh at me - I was young and stupid once, but everyone's entitled to be young and stupid once, no? And Boyzone represents a time in my life where everything was sweet and simple, where a line like "love me for a reason, let the reason be love" could have actually worked. And it is associated with so many of my memories - the first time I bought a CD, the first time I put up a poster in my room, the first time I saved up to buy a trashy gossip magazine just because of the picture on the cover, my first crush, my first heartbreak...

It seems like such a lifetime ago, now that I think about it. They've since broken up, got married, had kids, moved to Holland with their boyfriends, tried to have solo careers, failed, and evidently ran out of money, forcing them to reunite to make some more. And I can't help but cringe at some of the dance moves on their Youtube concert videos. Yet I think I'll still always love them, somehow. Don't laugh at me.
