Have you ever done something which you knew from the outset was wrong, and which you knew from the outset would only hurt yourself and hurt others, but still went ahead and did? And have you ever, after knowingly doing aforementioned wrong-thing-which-hurts-yourself-and-others, and confirming that in fact, you did hurt yourself and hurt others, proceeded to do it again? And again?
