my life in a box

I just had a haircut, including wash and blow dry, with a massage and a mani-pedi. Very tai tai I know, but I feel I'm justified!

After all, I've been hard at work this past week, doing purchase orders and material charts and acting as receptionist for Mum. And I will smash a siew mai into your mouth if you tell me it's easier working for your parents, because I have to bring my work home from the office too!

Happy birthday Liangwei! Enjoyed myself and it wasn't just cos Arsenal won the match! (Sigh, I was stuck in Man U territory that night, so sian, noone to cheer with me!)

Happy birthday Kailing! I love KTV-ing with you guys. And our sleepover was hilarious. Don't know how El managed to sleep through our inane conversation. Pity Esther couldn't make it.

At least I managed to meet up with her to go for YW's photography exhibition opening. (Everybody, if you have the time, do check out Shooting Home at the Arts House at Old Parliament!) YW has a very distinctive style; we could spot her works almost immediately! Esther remarked, "Art is what I cannot do." Well there were some photos that I could definitely take (seriously!) but of course there were some really cool ones that were pretty impressive (like these red and blue shots of a fish that I thought was a flower).

Anyway after meeting MH and YLSSY for a short while and spilling a Screwdriver over the guestbook, Esther and I then proceeded to Glutton's Bay for a late but yummy dinner, catching a few fireworks from some NDP rehearsal on our way there.

I have been eating so much! Prior to that I had a giant soup thing at Soup Spoon and Haagen Dazs (yay, finally found out how to spell it) ice cream and the night before I went out with my TG + Dianne for Jumbo Seafood and the night before that Thiang and I went to Spring Court Restaurant to use my $100 voucher! Wah shiok. We had black pepper crab cereal prawns hotplate beef and scallops with asparagus and spent $114 in all.

Andre and Jordan are gross. How's this for a mental image: Hock Lai naked and covered with sushi, with bits of sashimi covering the vital parts; or alternatively, rolling around the sand like mua chee.
