If I hear one more person say something to the effect of "...maybe Michael Schiavo is being the kind one by allowing Terri to die..." I am going to hurl.

Tell me you'd rather die if you were in her position, fine. I wouldn't want my illness to cause so many people so much heartache either. I wouldn't like all those tubes stuck into me. I wouldn't enjoy having my husband kill me through starvation and dehydration so that he can 'move on with his life' with his new lover and their illegitimate children, and refuse to allow my family to see me in my dying hour.

But don't ever tell me he's doing it out of kindness or mercy. We'd never know what she really wanted, but I highly doubt that her wants are any more than a convenient excuse.
