I was resigned to confine my social life for the rest of the week to family and driving instructor, but today on my way back from BBDC I accepted an invitation to join some TG mates for dinner and ended up at an arcade with no games containing the word "percussion". Anyway I finished second at Daytona, narrowly losing to Andre and beating Paul. (But you guys probably don't believe me; you didn't believe that Huiyi and I thrashed Kerong at pool and beat Andre and Amos.)
Today I bumped into Wuss and Stranger from RJ. RJ said something that I can't repeat here, and it made me think of how much things have changed in the past year.
On my way to Bukit Gombak, I stoned off (like I sometimes do) and I ended up at Jurong East. So I got out, took the escalator down, then took another one up to cross over to the other side of the platform to take the train in the opposite direction. On my way up that train left the station, and as I watched it zoom past me I realised it was the train I got off, because
Jurong East is the last stop and the train can only go in that direction.
I left my heart in Japan and my brain in Malaysia.
