Spent the past few days meeting up with friends and had an ill-fated movie marathon. Isn't single-movie marathon such an oxymoron? Well at least I got to see some faces that I've rather missed.
Most of my friends are either gainfully employed or voluntarily unemployed, but I'm ungainfully and involuntarily jobless. (jobs applied: 20++; replies: 4; rejected by: 2; offered attachment with salary equivalent to child labour: 1; called for interview while away in China and subsequently informed that job was given to someone else by: 1) Added to the Oxford rejection (can't remember if I've mentioned it on this blog?) I can only conclude one thing: there is a startling number of people who can't appreciate talent.
Speaking of sour grapes, have you guys heard that stupid riddle on
The Kumars at No. 42?
Q: What's purple and conquers the world?
A: Alexander the Grape.
