NUS Open House was a letdown I'd say. Didn't learn anything new from the experience except that Kent Ridge is, aesthetically, rather unappealing, and that the Faculty for Music (o.k.a. the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music), ironically, has the worst-sounding name.
I feel like a brat saying this, but:
Now I don't really want to wind up in NUS. I'm speaking like it's a done deal but I'm fully aware that there's still a chance I might flunk the interview and written test or even not get shortlisted based on my grades given that there seems to be an astounding number of people applying for it this year. And if any of the above do happen then
I'd be winding up in London, possibly with the extra guilt of causing my parents to Sell the House, wouldn't I?
It's times like this that I wish I were Bill Murray or Scarlett Johannson in
Lost in Translation, having such an unlimited amount of money that my main problem is existential angst.
