For those who are concerned but haven't asked (sounds contradictory, but I'm assuming there are some really busy people who care about me), my Oxford interview didn't go too badly. The interviewer was very nice and friendly, even describing to me what St Edmund Hall looked like (I told her I knew about the gargoyles and old Celtic design, and she told me about the old crumbling church with the graveyard just outside, and now I really really really want to go!). I had been reminded not to fall prey to any false hopes just because the interviewer was nice, since she probably treated everyone the same way; I know that of course, but if she was nice enough to try making us feel comfortable and happy (instead of purposely grilling us just to see us squirm like some interviewers are fond of doing) why shouldn't I oblige? In retrospect, if I were to go for the interview again I couldn't have done any better- I truly gave it my best shot. So even if I do not get an offer I'd have no regrets, though I suppose it'd hurt my ego quite a bit to know my best isn't good enough.
